What is to Come / Hobby Report EBay

 I am Planning to do Regular Battle reports on my Blog once I get the full companies for at least 2 off my Factions Finished as well as Back Ground & Progress reports on My Forces, Also I want to do Tutorials On Some of My Modifications & Some Scratch Builds For Vehicles I Have Planned.  The First Posts in this plan have already Begun.  The First Real Project Log That was Not Army related was on My Terrain Project that I am still Working on for My Campaign http://federatin-empire15mmsci-fi.blogspot.com/2012/09/city-fighting-current-terrain-in.html.  My Army Projects Updates Actually Started with the Zerg Unfortunately The Zerg Have Been Put on the Back Burner as I am Waiting to Get More Models For the Army,  So I Posted on the Riek Arriving as I Just Started the Army then I Fully Assembled the rest of the Army & Posted On my Work to Build Forces at the Company Level.  I Will Be Posting The Imperial Army Forces Soon But it will be without there Heavy Weapons Platoons as I have to Pick up Bases for them This will also Include Some Hobby Posts as I Have To Convert 24 Half Tracks From the Zod 2 Tanks.  I Have to get back on working on My Background for the various Factions I Use as the Only Exclusive Post on Back Ground is The Overview of the Terran Colonial Empire & all other Back Ground has been Done in other Posts &Should be Compiled Into An Overview or Back Ground Post.  Additionally I need to get 2 Full Factions Painted Up so I can Start Posting Battle Reports & Once The Campaign is Started Keep a Campaign Log.   I Just Ordered A Bunch of Trees of E-Bay To Allow me to Put Games On  Without Having To Go Out to The East Bay to One of the Houses of the guys in My Gaming Group as all the Trees & Hills are Kept in One Central Location where we usually meet to play.  All I have been able to do with the couple Friends who have been learning to Game with me in the City has been Urban Terrain.  To Solve This problem I Ordered 11 Packs of Trees Ranging in Height from 6cm up to 12cm ( 1 1/2" to 4 3/4")  with a Variety of Types.  In total I Ordered 106 trees & will probably order at least another 15 or 20  to allow ,more coverage with trees for Wooded areas in my games.   One of my friends got a New Bed Last Week & he & I put it together took us ma-bee a 1/2 hour to get the whole thing done,  But Big Packages mean big Packing Material So I ended up with a lot of Styrofoam That he had no use for himself.  So Far I have put together12 or 14 Ground Breaks & Around a Dozen or so Hills.

As I said Earlier I love these vehicles & Only did the increase in height for my Obsessiveness with scale  an APC must be tall enough for the modelss to stand up in so they can easily enter & exit the vehicle.  That said Here are some pictures of the final result.

Why I chose 15mm Sci-Fi

 I was away from gaming for over 5 years.  Prior to this I played a lot of Genres in a couple of scales.  Then most companies Started to become the flavor of the month gaming & all about Profit It was no longer about the hobby any more.  Firstly I understand most companies are in business to make a profit.  But It was no longer about strategy & tactics it was about making the new releases sell so it became all about who cold afford the Newest best units & a lot of gamers & even miniatures companies Started allowing or playing with unpainted models.  Part of my enjoyment of the hobby is the preparation I put into my Miniatures & seeing what other gamers have done with their miniatures.  Don't get me wrong I enjoy getting together & gaming as much as the next Guy but have never used unpainted Miniature in a game, I have however used Proxy models to represent a force I haven't finish or am considering purchasing.  I admit up until recently wee were using a friend WW2 Infantry & Tanks to simulate Sci-Fi Forces.  This is due to all the other gamers I game with having multiple gaming Interest as I used to.  So when I decided to play gruntz 15mm Sci-Fi & Hammers Slammers the Cruisable in 15mm I Purchased all of the Forces for us to Use & am Assembling & Painting them all With only a Little Advice on Modelling & Painting from every one.  I will admit I went over Board on my spending when I Started back up again & have way to much to build & paint at this Time.  I still Have to get more vehicles as I Have Nearly One Thousand 15mm Figure & Only a handful of vehicles.  I Plan to build My Forces Up as I go On, I Need Vehicle for my aliens Each with 2 Infantry Platoons Currently only 3 Forces. My AI Army 60 Infantry Cybots, 12 Spider bots, 18 Drones & 3 Grav Scouts.   Need to replace My Blower Tanks For My Slammers Still have a Foll Platoon of Combat Cars & 4 Jeeps + 24 Infantry Skimmers to Form part of each of my 2 Platoons of Infantry Will Try to get them in October or November .   Both  Tomorrow's War Forces with 50 or 60 minis each from GZG But have no Vehicles for them yet.  2 Human force From my Hammer Slammers Starter Sets By GZG but I Stole their vehicle for My Largest force Consisting of 2 Platoon Pack of each of Khurasans Red Faction & Neo-Arabs as a single force with only 2 Light Tanks 6 APCs & 9 1/2 tracks &  I need more.  My Venusian need more APCs for their 2 Platoons But are using all My GEV  Consisting of a  British Battle Force From Combat Wombat & the 4 Old Crow Models Hammers Slammers Blower Tanks except those listed above in my slammers.  My Control Battalion have no vehicles yet but 2 platoons of infantry, Space Nazies the Same.   My Khurasan Federal are using the 12 tracked vehicles I go from Combat Wombat.  I do have 20 Light & scout mechs or mech Specialist units as I am classifying them & just got 6 Micro Panzer 2 leg walker & 20 or 30 infantry. In addition I have 3 Grave Scout Cars & 1 Grav Tank from Combat Wombat. My wife was trying to help me out with this problem & ordered me 2 packs of Zod Super Tanks We didn't Know about the Pircy Issue at the time.  So I have 24 Tanks that are so small that I have decide that once I get my Main forces out of the way they will become 1/2 Tracks &/or Double tracked vehicle This will help with my vehicle situation.

I've Noticed a lack of Alien looking vehicles in 15mm Sci-Fi, but the few I have seen are really Nice.   We need more of these. 

Firstly I Love the current miniature being produced in 15mm.  Sci-Fi allows more freedom from restritions in the way of equiptment uniforms Weapons Ect.  I chose gruntz because it is not Directly affiliated with a Single miniatures brand & allows Most options I am interested in & can be easily modified to suite.  Robin is also very active in the comunity I asked a question yesterday & had an anser today on a mod to the rules.  Nothing official but He allowed me not to have to brek down the complat point system to do Something Unusial.  Finally 15mm is the last affordable scale & I can paint th miniatures even if not as well as others,  watch out I am improving quickly guys as time gose on I will constantly be improving with my modlling & painting.

Upgraded Shiva MBT

 This is a new card for The Shiva MBT with some upgrades to the Tank.  The Shiva run a whopping 100 points by itself now.  the old version only ran 85 points.  The Back Ground has not changed.  I believe this is tthe biggest Tank in my collection & I have 4 of them forr my Venusians, Only have 3 of them painted. 

Only Had to Take 2 Pictures o get the new immage for the card,  I'm getting better using a Digital Camera Every Day.  I will be Painting up New Venusians soon.  I was not pleased with the First Batch nothing wrong with them Just they are the First Figures I Painted After a 5+ Years Away from the Compleately Away From the Hobby  (war gaming). 

Shiva MBT

I have Decided to use the Hammers Slammers Blower Tank with my Venusian Psi Marines as a Venusian Close Support Heavy Tank which the Psi Marines Have Addopted as Thier MBT.   The Venusian Imperial Army is under the direct command of the emperor & contains the Majority of the Venusians Armed Forces They Oversee all the Venusian Civil Defence Forces on home as well as all the colony worlds, The Royal Guard are drawn from its Special Operations Forces, even the Fleet Has to anser to the Imperial Armies Operations Command.  Then theres the Army itself which every Citisen must serve 6 Years in unless they are Psi Sensitive.  All Psi Sensitives are Taken in by the Psi Marines & Given 4 Years of training in the use of thier abilities then the are given the choose of serving in the Armies Psi-Operation Corps for 4 Additional Years Or Permanent Enlistment with the Psi Marines.  The Psi Marines are Independent of the Army & Answer only to The Council of the Blind as a counter point to the Emperors Rule. As such the Psi Marines are an Independent specialized Assault Force &  they have all ways had to make do with what they can get their hands on so have a limited amount of Equipment available they received the Warlock Heavy Assault Tank when the Imperial Army retired them & Reclassified it the Shiva MBT Allong with thier Scout & Medium Tank they make up the Psi Marines Armored Assault Units.  They replaced the Heavy Laser Cannons the Imperial Army used as linked Main guns with a Single A-Cannon (Anti-Matter Projector) Added A Light Vehicle Gattling Gun & Light Missile Pod, then they added a Psi Amplifier for good measure Enhancing the crews natural Abilities.  I still Have to Make a copula for the Gatling gun & add a turret mounted light Missile pod.  My fellow player have said I can use hem as is for now & add the rest when I get  chance. Old Crow Models Makes this Beast.

 The profile at the Top of the Page is for Gruntz 15mm Sci-Fi.  I Proxied the A-Cannon,  & anything that Has Psi/ in front of it is a Psi ability & doesn't need to be modeled on the vehicle.  Using he test version of the Gruntz 1.1 Barrack Application & found some Problems.  The actual Vehicle Stats are under the Perks & Notes of other fixes are also there.
